He achieved a BA from Wimbledon College of Art (1970–73) and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London (1973–77). Sculptor Tony Cragg (British, b.1949) is best known for his use of diverse materials, ranging from found objects to the more traditional bronze, wood, and marble. Cragg was born in Liverpool, and spent two years working as a lab technician before attending the Gloucestershire College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art in London. He studied art at Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology, Cheltenham, from 1968 to 1970, and painting at the Wimbledon School of Art, London, from 1970 to 1973. The same year he went on to study sculpture at the Royal College of Art, London, completing an MA in 1977.
